Vacation 2008

Happy Fowerth!  (I wish you all could meet my mother - in - law Anne... she is a TRUE southerner. She has the best southern accent!!)  So we had our annual trip down to Alabama for the the 4th, but this time we added a visit on the front end with Grandma MA and Grandpa Wayne.  We rented a minivan (yes, I know... we will have to get one of our own pretty soon) and headed to Nashville.  I really like Nashville.  We went to some kids museum type thing that was really fun and we hung out all day around Vanderbilt visiting Jim's old "haunts" and playing at  really cool park.  The rest of the time we swam at the hotel pool and there was even some putt putt played!  We finally got Rowan her floatie suit and you will see, she is now ready for the swim team herself. 

After Nashville we headed down to Montgomery to see Gordon and Anne.  Susie and Jacob were coming the next day and then we were going to visit the McCain's.  Not THE McCAIN'S that you might be thinking of...Robert and Janet and Trea and Alex.  (Anne's son and family)  We had a great time catching up with them and then we had 3 days of pool and backyard fun at Grandpop's house.  Most of the pictures will show what we did.  Lots of floating around and LOTS of eating as usual.  It is always so nice to go and visit and relax!
